The association is intented
to help people suffering of a personality disorder. In particular the Borderline
disorder
The association is intented
to help the "NON" (non-patients) , those who "know", support, the
close relations, families circle of the patients
Among the problems which
arise for peoples suffering of this personality disorder
They don't think of being "salvable"
and don't think to "deserve it" whereas " We can cure "
They have "the practice" and
tend to think that suffering belongs to the life's "normality"
They tend to think that it is
their "nature" to be thus
They have a true inner loneliness
based on their quasi impossibility to really entrust (not even with
their close relations)
They are in the inability to
have a well-adjusted life (spouse, childrens, friends...) like "everyone"
They were sometimes overprotected.
Their problems being often minimized since always by their entourage
They are able to hide their
illness during years (that complicates the awakenings)
They are adult but with a emotional
mind of child, and speaking to the adult one is a "complete waste of effort"
Among the problems which
arise for the "NON" (non BPs)
They must be able to find the
"right" therapist able to help the person who suffers (what does not
seem an easy task)
They face the borderline lies
and suffer their distortion campaign: "It's HIM who is the sick one, not
me !"
They thus are quasi systematically
not believed by the entourage of the person who suffers because this one
gives an appearance of "normality". They must thus convince of this reality
but
not by making feel guilty unnecessarily the entourage
They must especially convince
the person who suffers to open the eyes on her situation and wanting to
help itself (with compassion and empathy).
They have sometimes to face
justice, being wrongfully accused of mobbing, private
life violation ...
They finally have to "hold out"
and not "to break down" in front of the task's scale to achieve
The
association has the purpose to take the following actions
Communication
Promote the disease to the
public: " There are nothing ashamed to be sick "
Nothing exceptional: 3% of the
population. With the circle that's more than 10% population's concerned.
25% of the patients treated
for psychiatric disorders would have this personality disorder
Gravity of the disease (suffering,
handicaps, risk of suicide 1000 times higher than the rest of the population)
By
Internet web site, Forums of
discussion
Press articles, books, TV's
emissions, works of fiction (dramas)
Conferences, Debates, seminars...
Increase authorities awareness
of the problem (not-taking in account the disease has an high cost for
the community)
Health
- Training
List the experts (in France,
french speaking countries) informed about "borderline" disorder (there
are deficiencies)
Increase therapist awareness
and, we hope for it, form experts with the problem
Increase occupational medecine
awareness
.
Legal
support
Help juridically the "NON" (sometimes
wrongfully accused by the entourage of the patient for mobbing...)
If necessary legally sue peoples
in the entourage of the patient having constant and repeated pressure
on the patient to maintain it in a
state of subjection (under the dependence of) and to prevent
it to consult or treat themselves (for all "the good" or "bad" reasons
of the world)
To introduce into the minds
(law)
and
into these circumstances, "the duty of interference in love".
We
do not have the moral right to let a whole part of the population suffer
it from a disease WHICH CAN BE TREATED!
(With respect and empathy
to the patient. It is if possible to convincenot to force
) .
The french law talk about "free
will and enlightened assent" of the patient.
The question is:
"Is
a person suffering with a borderline personality disorder, i.e. having
an
childish emotional quotient, able to give a free
and enlightened
opinion ?"
In other words
"would
you let your 5 years old child make the final decision to look after itself
or not?"
The question is on air, the
debate must be public
.
Should we moreover start one
reflexion about the
"diagnosis
obligation" (we talk only about inform the patient, not to force him being
treated)
Once more:
How
a person
who
don't know (really)
that he's sick
who
don't know that his/her disease can be treated
who sometimes
even is
prevented by his entourage, family circle
could
have a " free and enlightened" opinion and decide by itself to consult
a therapist ?
